Likely Suspect Project

This project is a collaboration whose primary focus is Acapella music with a message. The airwaves are full of music that is degrading, sexual, vulgar, and to the point where most people just listen to the beat and not the words. For children ranging in age from 9 months to 19 years, the Likely Suspect Project uses their message to “Change the Game.” The project works with Prisonworld “LIVE” to tour correctional facilities - adult and juvenile, DRUG COURTS, middle and high schools, gang prevention programs and boys and girls clubs to bring their positive message to the masses. The group was spotlighted in Atlanta Magazine for their works and have sang for NAACP events as well as America’s Got Talent. CLICK HERE to read-Atlanta Magazine Article

What Kind of Man, Track #2 on the Likely Suspect Project, The OG Collection, is the first video which deals with manhood. Written by Rufus Triplett and Lonell Triplett, rap provided by Jahini Triplett, and message to all that it appeals. We have a serious problem with our men and not wanting to take responsibility for their actions, their children or their integrity. We also have a serious problem with our men and incarceration. We deal with a lot of issues with this project. Just trying to make an impact on the lives of our youth and misguided.

Back On the Streets, Track #5 on the Likely Suspect Project, The OG Collection. In our efforts to support the youth, behind the camera once again is our youngest son who we endearingly refer to as baby boy. His portfolio includes all of the videos you see on this page. This song ~Back on the Street~ deals with the frustrations of those that have been incarcerated and cannot find a job. We all know somebody that have had that issue or is dealing with this issue currently.

Fallin in Love Again, Track #7 on the Likely Suspect Project, The OG Collection. This song was written by Rufus and Lonell Triplett, describing rough periods in marriages. Every marriage goes through bumps and it’s the memories on which we reflect. Marriages that are experiencing incarceration and actually sustain, can relate to this song.

Searchin, Track #3 on the Likely Suspect Project, The OG Collection. This song was written by Swain Triplett & Rufus Triplett. Looking for love in all the wrong places is the case of too many people. Seeking the right mate amongst all of the relationship games that are being played right now is a true challenge so most people, male and female, continue to search.

Man and Wife, Track #8 on the Likely Suspect Project, The OG Collection. This song, which has been voted the Best Wedding Song Ever by a Google Poll, is a just that. A wedding song with lots of meaning. Written by Rufus Triplett, Lonell Triplett and Afua Triplett, this song is also the backdrop of the Ebony Magazine Couple of the Year video.
