ABOUT US

Prisonworld Records

Spawned from an idea of a magazine titled Prisonworld Magazine, the natural evolvement of experience and talent was Prisonworld Records. Co-headed by husband and wife team, Rufus Triplett, Jr. and Jenny Triplett, Prisonworld Records is a non-traditional record company that showcases Acapella vocal styles music genre.

Both Rufus and Jenny come with experience in the entertainment business after heading their own concert promotions and CD duplication business in the late 90’s as well as working in music production, radio and public relations. They have over 40 years combined experience. The originality that the projects of Prisonworld Records bring to the industry is unlike any other. The upcoming release of tunes can fit into any genre of R&B, Hip Hop, Pop, etc. The vocal stylings of the Triplett family is the result of a background of practice, nurturing and just a true desire to sing.

Prisonworld Records prides itself on giving the listening audience something different than the ordinary of what you would hear on the radio. The collection of love songs and feel good music is timeless and approvable for any generation now and for years to come.

The OG Collection is a CD compilation which is the first release for the label. It showcases songs with messages for families, those going through trials and tribulations, love issues, and messages of strength. The first song from the CD, Back on the Street, is about a man coming to the realization, after serving time in prison, that taking care of his family and making money the legal way is the definition of a real “OG.”

Just as with Prisonworld Magazine, The Preferred Entertainment Magazine, Prisonworld Records has come to “Change the Game”. The definition of music is an artistic form of auditory communication incorporating instrumental or vocal tones in a structured and continuous manner. LIKELY SUSPECT PROJECT - THE OG COLLECTION

This project is a collaboration whose primary focus is Acapella music with a message. The airwaves are full of music that is degrading, sexual, vulgar, and to the point where most people just listen to the beat and not the words. For children ranging in age from 9 months to 19 years, the Likely Suspect Project uses their message to "Change the Game." The project works with Prisonworld "LIVE" to tour correctional facilities - adult and juvenile, DRUG COURTS, middle and high schools, gang prevention programs and boys and girls clubs to bring their positive message to the masses.
